Michael A. Price is the president and founder of First Mergers Group, L.L.C. First Mergers Group is a leading mergers and acquisitions consulting firm that assists middle market business owners in evaluating divesture strategies, liquidity options and industry consolidation. First Mergers has completed over 100 transactions with combined annualized revenues of excess of $2.0 billion.
Price founded First Mergers Group in 1996. Between 1992 and 1996, Price provided business development consulting to middle market private business owners. Prior to that he was a practicing environmental engineer from 1986 to 1992. He graduated from State University of New York Potsdam College in 1986 with a BA.
Price has authored and published numerous articles and is an accomplished public speaker. Price resides in Northern Virginia with his wife and four children.
Keith has 25 years experience in operations, management and business ownership. His expertise in the mechanical contracting, service and temperature control business has resulted in three of his own successful businesses being acquired by an industry consolidator and a large private equity firm. He is now involved in building his own portfolio as well as showing other entrepreneurs how to benefit from years of hard work.
Being involved in both the buy and sell side of mergers and acquisitions has put Keith in a unique position to guide owners through the process that accompanies selling a privately held enterprise. Keith, his wife and two children live in Charlotte, NC where he has lived his entire life. He holds several industry licenses and accreditation’s in the state.
Alan has over 20 years of M&A experience and has been involved in more than 100 buy-side and sell-side transactions primarily in the HVAC industry. Alan has owned several businesses including an HVAC Service Company, Film Production Firm and Minor League Baseball Teams. Alan’s industry experience and contacts are a valuable resource to First Mergers Group clients.
Alan and his wife split their time between Nevada and California with their two children.
Chris has over 15 years of M&A experience and has been involved in more than 50 buy-side and sell-side transactions in various industries. Chris focuses on working with privately held businesses in the construction, engineering, environmental and industrial sectors. Chris has owned several businesses including a general contracting, environmental and insurance consulting firms. He earned his MBA in 1986 from Emporia State University.
Chris and his wife live in Richmond, Virginia with their two children.
Matt Wagner, CPA, CVA
As both a CPA and a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) with over 20 years experience, Matt advises business owners who are considering the sale of their business where he can apply his expertise in Business Valuations and Tax.
Although he services clients in several industries, his areas of greatest concentration are medical and contracting. Formerly with the Big Five accounting firm of KPMG Peat Marwick and the international firm of BDO Seidman, Matt is a member at Lombardo Wagner. He is frequently quoted in such publications as The Baltimore Sun Papers and Washington Times and is heard on WNAV and WBIS radio. Matt resides in Annapolis, Maryland.
